Ok, I know this might sound kinda deppresing, but honestly, I don't think the future looks that great. The environment? Do't even get me started. Kids will grow up to think Antartica was a fairy tale. "What? There's no ice except in the freezer!" Global warming is going to be disaterious. Without ice, the ocean will flood the shorelines. Without Antartica, where will all the fluffy polar bears go? They won't go anywhere! They'll all be DEAD! OH, sure, that's a great future! *sarcastic tone*

What is important in the furute people's lives? Uh.... Well if I lived to be a thousand years old, I would start thinking about how if we start now, we MIGHT, yes MIGHT be able to help out poor Mother Nature fix up all the mistakes we made when we were in the past.
How has technology edvanced? IDK, maybe we WILL have flying cars, and maybe we WILL have time-traveling devices. But i swear, If we DID have time-traveling devices, I would go back and change the way people think about earth. Like when a person litters, they say, "Oh it's just one soda can. What's it gonna do?" Well that adds up people! Do you know how many people say that every day? It's not just one can! It's millions piling up on each other!
How are things different from now? Well I pretty much just said what I thought, and that wasn't a pretty picture.
What types of events have happened to change things? Littering mostly.
Look around people! Think about this for a second will you? Here me out. If you get off your lazy butts and stop playing XBox of Wii, you can go help the environment. Go pick up a few cans or start recycling if you haven't already. Sure it's a small task, but it's a start. If we all just pitch in the help the earth, the future won't have to be what I described. Do you want your great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandkids to be living in THAT future? I know I sure wouldn't like that! So go and help Mother Nature do her job! TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT!

The people will live like they are all kings and queens. They will all have maids no matter if they have tons of money or no money at all. The one thing that is important to their lives will be their own self, and maybe their family. Technology advanced a lot! The world will basically be based on technology! They will have little robots as some of their maids! Things will be different because their lives will be more advanced than now. The type of events that have happened to change things would be the world will be very smart so that when they look back on the history they will call us weird or even dumb!!

I think that in 3011 it will be very technologically advanced. But I also think there will be less open space. I mean, with the technology we already have, we can build very advanced buildings. So to think what it will be like in a thousand years is really hard. There's just no way to know! I can't really think about it. I think people will live obviously more based on technology then we do now, but what if that's too much? Is that always a good thing? I think it's going to be different in the city.

i see the world as being something like the movie back to the future. i can see people riding around on flying skateboards, etc. i can see the environment as looking like it does now. i see there being more houses but i also see there being long stretches on forests and farmland. The people are just like we are but i see there also being robot that roam the streets also. People would live in homes that reach up to 1000 feet high and have elevators just to get to the mall. In their lives it is important to not pop the bubble that is taking you to the mall. technology has improved so far. The scientists know so much more than they used too. many things are different from now including technology but people still act the same way as we do now. A event that happened in history to change it is that scientists learned how to balance out gravity so that you could buy a skateboard or scooter that hoovers that ground.

Well, I don't know if were gonna live that long if we survive 2012 but if we do, in 3011 alot of things willl have to change. It depends on our actions now that predict our future, we can not have the perfect world filled with robots and flying cars if we don't properly take care of our environment. For instance if all animals go endangered and global warming put a hole through our o-zone layer we could all die. Put to be positive I think we will have better ways of transportation, more effecient homes and robots to work our jobs and we can be more in touch with our surroundings and the people that surround us too.

WEll, to start, it is really hard to look into the future and predict. I bet that most of the 7th graders don't even know where they will be ten years from now, much less what their great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great etc. etc. grandkids will be doing in 1000 years!! I don't think they will be living in some kind of paradise with all they ever wanted like some people might think. Technology may become more advanced as time goes on, but that won't really matter when they are living in a trash dump! Think about our world now! I mean, sure nothing seems too major right now. We are having some extreme temperatures, as in extra cold winters and extra hot summerrs, but that will all get better, right? WRONG! The earth's climate is not something we can control, no matter what you think! Sure, we can save water by taking shorter showers, hanging our clothes on a clothesline, etc., but we can't live in a planet with temperatures increasing up to 120 degrees! At this rate, that is actually what the temperature will be!! Every winter could be considered an Ice Age! The local weatherman will be saying, "Don't leave your house today! You will burn up and die! Children, all schools are closed but you can use your ATSP (advanceed technology schooling program! (good, right?))But only leave your house if you want to die!! Have a nice day :)!" That doesn't sound like all that fun to me! People will be staying in their houses all the time, since they will freeze to death in the winter and burn up from the sun! Children will be longing to see the outside world! Adults will feel like prison keepers, keeping their children confined in their houses. In their lives, people only care about themselves and their immediate family, since those are the only people they will ever meet in person! They can video chat with HOLOGRAMS of relatives, but that is really not the same. Technology will be extremely advanced, as in people will have made robots that will deliver everything people need since they cannot leave the house. So, yeah... The future really isn't going to be all fun and games!!!

In the year 3011, our world WILL be drastically changed. Sure technology will be so advanced that 2011 will seem like the Stone Age, but the atmosphere will be so crappy that we will probably be living on Mars. The ozone layer will be so bad that the sun comes in full blast. Which means seas will dry up and all life will cease to exist. Pollution will leave us with the most disgraceful assortment of deplorable rubbish imaginable.(Mangled up in tangled up knots)

The important things then will not be much different form now. Eat, sleep,#1,#2, work, kids,environment,death,etc. We probably will not have to worry bout school, b/c of technology we will have hats with microchips in them and once a week we go to "school" and put on our learning hats. Bang! Presto! All the stuff from that week is instantly transported into our brains.(This is sorta possible now using brain waves, but not a whole week's worth of info)
What lead to all this is us humans ability to adapt to our environment.

I think that they might have a better economy, longer life spans, and probably more advance medicines and technology. What is important in their lives? Jobs, medicine and technology would probably be very important. Their technology would definitely be more advance, and like I said before, maybe if there was less pollution, there could be flying cars, time machines, and holograms for phone calls! Even if there isn't those particular things, the technology would be much more advance than that of today's. Throughout my whole blog, I have listed many differences to the future to now, so I won't list them all again. Some events that will change the future will be new discoveries, wars, plagues, and basically everything that has changed us from the cavemen to what we are today.

In 3011, I think that the environment wll be like the one shown in WALL-E. I think that not alot of plants will exist and there will be giant piles of junk everywhere and obese people will be on space cruises. Then, at one point, I think someone should turn around and think about the world and not just themselves and actually get fit, and help the earth get to where it needs to be: green and blue like in our little 5 year old drawings, not gray with a nasty green haze over it. We should help the environment so it doesnt cause the end of the world as we know it.

The environment in my prospective will be not many plants or trees because everything will be about technology. The year 3011 will be WAAAAAYY different. The envirorment would probally be all fake and some how electronic. The people wouldn't be the smartest because they would never write with a pencil and paper, and they would most definetly touch a book. I think in the year 3011 it will be very different than it is today. I think that all of the people will have changed from the way they are today. I think that they will all be lazy because they are so advanced in technolagy that they wont ever feel like doing anything on their own or acctually working to do or achieve something. In the year 3011 I hope that the environment has changed in positive ways. For example, cancer and other illnesses will have cures and that global warming or other threats to the environment will be solved. Also I think a lot of people will rely on technology. Since they rely on technology so much they will probably have social issues because with all the technology no one will talk face to face. Overall, I am not really sure how the environment will change or what it will be like in 3011. These are just my guesses and everyone always thought in 2000 we would have flying cars but looked what happened.

In 3011...... There won't be a 3011. The world will end and the Earth would be obliterated or the Earth would just be a volcanic, disastrous place. The cause would be a meteor slamming into the Earth and launching it out of its gravitational pull and into a new one, a lot closer to the sun. The ozone layer will be depleted to close to nothing and the magnetic field surrounding the Earth would not sustain that much UV rays and all the huge amounts of radiation from the sun. The few remains of our dwindling species that barely escaped the catastrophe that almost made our race of being extinct would be in chronostasis, in some spaceship flying to wherever our fading species could thrive. Whatever other planet that can hold their life. They would have to start over and rebuild there. Kind of like “Gathering Blue”.

In the year 3011, I think the world will be all out in technology. I think they will make up new things like a T.V. to be just like a Ipad, but bigger. That all you have to do is touch it to do things. That is not the only thing i think but, I think they'll probably come up with more. But, I do also think that the humans on this earth will be extinct, just like the dinosaurs.Instead of them I think there will be robots, or technology/human people combined. I think our environment will be liter-free. So for example, if I threw a piece of a candy wrapper on the ground, it would disintegrate instantly. I think that the future will be very different than now,we will have new jobs,new technology.and many diffferent thinhs in the world.

The world in 3011 will be wayyy more advanced than it is now in my opinion. I don't think there will be many rural areas anymore and that there will be more cities built up. The people would all have flying cars and their vacation houses will be on the moon not the beach. Their technology will be more advanced and they'll have cures for every sickness like cancer, diabetes etc. Some things that could change the world we live in today to my envision of 3011 is that scientists will learn cures for everything, and they will figure out how to defy gravity on earth.

There would probably either be an advanced civilization or a destroyed civilization because of what we have done to the environment. That's all I can guess right now 'cause it's the future, you never know what could happen.

I envision that in the year 3011, everything will be very high tech. Many new inventions. I obviousely can not say what the new inventions will be or i will have made them up. But i think everything will be fascinating.

In that year I think that we will not live on earth and that we will either live on another planet or in space. I figure by that year we will all be pretty fat, and there will be lots of people out there. People will be living on earth though some people, but they will be greedy and only care about their survival. But if we have robots I like the idea of Wally and I think that would be the way we will end, killing our world and trashing it. Marissa
